about
A track from our upcoming sophomore album: Whatever Keeps You Up At Night
This album means a lot to me and it's probably the most important thing I've ever released in my life. I've never felt more proud of something I've created, especially while collabing with my two late bandmates on it. They were extremely supportive while it lasted.
Autumn and I worked our asses off on the production of this album, Autumn bringing it to life with her composition more than I ever thought possible. We hope that our hard work shines through on this, as we spent many restless months hyper-tuning this album down to the smallest detail. I spilled my soul out into the lyrics of this album, several of the songs being about people that I've suffered at the hands of or who have hurt me in ways that don't really heal. Dredging up those past experiences for this project has opened some of those old wounds in a way, but at least that meant I could pour my tears, sweat, AND blood into this album.
When I first wrote most of these songs, I never would have envisioned that someone would care enough about them to bring them to life the way they lived in my head and I can never thank her enough for that. It means more to me than you could ever know. I couldn't have made this album without her and I hope her and my previous drummer Anthony are doing well in their current project: Vulning. lyrics
You're a ghost of a woman, you're a marionette
You're a silhouette, a haunting thrall
When he dies at night, it is a dreamless sleep
Those memories
Like horrid squalls
I think we're leavin' something out
No one believes!
With broken glass, you struck me down
When will it end!?
Oh, Laura! You are a doll!
With strings and all
Snap them and you will crawl
Across the walls
Is this you, or is it the puppeteer?
It isn't clear! It isn't!
Your doped up dull eyes are all that I fear!
You're all I fear!
Oh, somethin's not right
A stranger is running their hands through my hair
You're in my web and you're wrapped up tight
And no one will ever hear your side
If you're still in there,
Wake up, please!
I can't talk to amphetamines
I know when your nose starts to bleed
You'll really knock me out!
Laura! You are a doll!
With strings and all
Snap them and you will crawl
Across the walls
Is this you, or is it the puppeteer?
It isn't clear! It isn't!
Your doped up dull eyes are all that I fear!
You're all I fear!
Wake as you're sleeping
Not sure of just what to blame
Ignore all reason
That says I should just walk away…
Nothing to say when
You saw what you did to my face
"Sorry, my darling
But I don't remember a thing!"
Lauraignée covers!
Herself up to hide in the sand
Feeling vibrations to take all choice out of your hands!
Oh, Laura! You are a doll!
With strings and all
Snap them and you will-
STAY! DOWN! THERE, YOU SPIDER!
Was this love or was it more so fear
It isn't clear, it isn't!
Let's cut ties and say goodbye my dear!
Goodbye my dear…

I rarely find an artist who makes music that haunts me. I really like Nicole's style. If you like my music you'll probably dig hers. :3 Friends for Sale
